KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday approved interim bail of former Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon in two cases over corruption charges.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth five billion and 77 crore rupees while he had announced to face all the charges.
Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted a 15-day protective bail to Sharjeel Memon over surety bond of 2 million rupees.
Sharjeel Memon was detained by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) immediately after his plane coming from Dubai landed at the Islamabad airport.
However, the authorities released him after interrogation.
