Actor Mikaal Zulfiqar has announced that he and his wife Sara Bhatti have gotten divorced.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday night, Mikaal said that he and Sara decided to officially end their marriage “after a long separation and despite efforts from both ends.”
He wrote, “Wanted to say this for a while. Finally found the courage to do so. Sad to announce, unfortunately, my marriage of 6 years has ended. After a long separation and despite efforts from both ends, things could not be resolved, which has resulted in divorce.”
Mikaal and Sara married six years ago and have two daughters.
The actor recently shared a photo with his daughters on his Facebook fan page with the hashtag #toughtobewithoutyourkids.
Mikaal is known for performances in TV dramas like Sang-e-Marmar, Maan and Sangat. He stepped into TV production last year with PTV’s Tum Meray Kya Ho. He has acted in Bollywood film Baby, U R My Jaan and Shoot on Sight and his latest Pakistani film Ae Dil Meray Chal Re is expected to release next year.
