LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab President Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira said that the federal government is announcing new projects despite the fact that it does not have money to complete old ones.
Kaira was expressing these views in a media talk at PPP leader Manzoor Wattoo’s home in Lahore on Thursday. He said that the federal government is involved in pre-poll rigging and asked why courts aren’t aware of this fact.
He further said that next elections should be made as credible as possible. Commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s accusation that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP have signed a deal, he said that Imran Khan is in denial if he’s under the impression that PPP will not give them any competition in the next election.
Kaira said PPP is in the process of reorganisation and will, eventually emerge as a big party.
