Punjab govt orders expansion of elite police training school

The Punjab police planning in expanding its elite police training school on Bedian Road at a cost of over Rs 700 million.

A spokesperson of the police in an interview with Radio Pakistan said that the expansion work includes the construction of a printing press, media room, swimming pool, gymnasium, guard room, dining hall, double storey hostel, indoor firing range, fiber shed for firing range, repair and maintenance of the existing hostel, improving the mock-up village, and converting the two-mile running track to a standard track.

The purpose is to increase training capacities and facilities at the elite police training school, he added.

The spokesperson said that the project would be completed within two years.
