KARACHI: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) apprehended at least 15 suspects during raids in different parts of the metropolis, police said on Saturday.
LEA arrested two accused, Arshad Muna and Saghir Ansari, during an operation in Nazimabad area. The detained men were said to be the activists of MQM-London and involved in heinous crimes including target killing and extortion.
Meanwhile, LEA conducted raids in Saeedabad, Sohrab Goth, Korangi, Shahrah-e-Faisal and Defence areas. During door-to-door search operations, the security agencies nabbed eight suspects and shifted them to undisclosed locations for investigation.
On the other hand, in Shah Faisal Colony, police investigation team busted a five-member gang during an operation. The gang was involved in bank robberies and street crime.
