Sindh government’s lack of effort for the recovery of kidnapped engineer Ayaz Ali Jamali is injustice and reflects apathy on the government’s part towards the miseries of Pakistanis working abroad.
These views were expressed by Ayaz Latif Palejo, on Saturday, while meeting the family of the kidnapped engineer.
On the occasion, Anwar Soomro, Ashraf Palejo, Ghulam Mustafa, Aalam Khaskheli and others were also present.
This would be an injustice to all those Pakistanis who contribute a lot to the country by working in foreign countries, said Palejo.
More than 200 million Pakistanis are employed in the foreign countries and send their earnings back to their families, which is a huge contribution, he added.
He said that all the foreign employees would be in a difficult position if the government remained indifferent to their problems.
Palejo said, “We all have to influence the government on taking an immediate diplomatic action for the recovery of Ayaz Ali Jamali”.
He said that the Sindhi engineer was kidnapped a week ago by the rebels of Riek Macchar Group of South Sudan but the government had been indifferent on the matter.
He, while talking to the family, said that the government has failed to initiate any viable efforts for release of the kidnapped engineer.
Palejo, while criticising the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), said that the PPP’s entire focus has been on the people like Dr Asim and others; moreover, after the eight years, they have still not managed to identify Shaheed BB’s killers.PPP also failed to follow her case in the court, he added.
Palejo alleged the PPP and federal government of influencing the headcount of the Sindhi population in the census to deprive the province of its rightful resources in future.
The PPP has also stayed silent on the crucial issue of water shortage in the province, he concluded.
