NEW DEHLI: A 22-year old Muslim, Rahat Khan, has been arrested because of a Facebook status against Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to reports, “Rahat Khan has posted morphed image of the newly elected chief minister and captioned it with ‘Yogi hai, ya bhogi hai’ on his Facebook wall.”

However, Rahat Khan’s mother said, “our family is involved in several social service activities. We have even won applauds from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself for raising the issue of triple talaq.”

She blames land mafia for framing his son and is insistent that her son is innocent.

The 44-year-old Adityanath, known as a ‘firebrand Hindu leader’, is the head priest of an influential shrine in Gorakhpur.

Since his election, India’s status as a secular state has been questioned.
