ISLAMABAD: Seven burn wounds were found the child maid Saima who was earlier recovered from a house in Islamabad.
A six-member medical board at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) examined the teenage girl on Friday, and many torture marks were found on her. Her neck and back had burn marks, whereas her ankles are swollen.
The medical board also confirmed that hair were cut forcibly adding that the girl is mentally stable.
On Sunday, the 12-year-old girl told police in a statement that she was brought to her current employer’s house some four years ago. The employers started beating her only two months after she began. Along with the employer, her children also physically assaulted her on a regular basis.
Finding an opportunity to escape the girl climbed over the boundary wall and jumped into the neighbour’s house who then informed the police.
