LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has confirmed to contest for a National Assembly seat in the 2018 general elections.

According to reports, Maryam Nawaz will contest for NA seat from Lahore in the next general elections, due in 2018.

Maryam Nawaz confirmed to a private news channel that she plans to contest in 2018 elections but her decision has no connection with the Panama case, regardless of what the outcome of the case may be.

British media conglomerate BBC last week disclosed its latest additions to its curated list of Presidential Daughters around the world, which now has Maryam Nawaz and Ivanka Trump included among other authoritative figures.
