Grateful to UAE for illuminating Burj Al-Khalifa with colours of Pakistani flag: Marriyum

 

Entire Pakistani nation is grateful to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for illuminating Burj al-Khalifa with the colours of Pakistani flag to mark Pakistan Day, said Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State for IB&NH, while talking to a private television channel.

She said Burj al-Khalifa event had proven that the friends of Pakistan strongly stand by it in its aspiration and struggle for progress and development in the fields of defence, security and economy.

She said Pakistan’s dignity and prestige was being restored throughout the world.

She also congratulated Pakistan army for launching a successful media campaign “Ham sab ka Pakistan” as it forged unity and brotherhood among the people of the country. The illumination of Burj al-Khalifa with the colours of Pakistani flag was a matter of pride for the people of Pakistan, Marriyum Aurnagzeb concluded.

 

Earlier, Pakistanis celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Republic Day with a great enthusiasm here on Thursday.

In this regard, a spectacular LED illumination of Pakistan National flag on Burj Al Khalifa mesmerized people when they gathered there to watch it in the night.

The show began at 7-15 pm when the Burj Khalifa just went green and lit up in Pakistani flag. It grabbed a lot of audience with sizable community of Pakistanis living in Dubai.

Known for its spectacular fireworks and illumination, the Burj Khalifa is world’s tallest skyscraper in the world.
