Singer Beyonce Knowles used FaceTime to connect with a young cancer patient, Ebony Banks, after a social media campaign under the hashtag #EbobmeetsBeyonce grabbed her attention.
The Crazy In Love hit maker surprised the teenager with a video call on Wednesday. Ebony, whose lifelong dream has been to meet Beyonce, has been battling a rare form cancer.
Speaking to Khou channel about her last wish, Ebony, who is also known as Ebob, said, “She’s (Beyonce) like my everything and my idol. And if I ever met her, I would probably pass out.”
Ebony’s high school classmate Shanya McKnight told local news site Khou, “We just decided she should, you know, meet Beyoncé. We started this hashtag to see how far we could get… Mostly, we tagged Beyonce we wanted to get her attention that Ebony wanted to meet her.”
After Ebony’s school friends made her last wish come true, they were absolutely ecstatic.
