Asif Ali Zardari says the Zardariest thing possible

In a recent TV interview on a private news channel, former President Asif Ali Zardari overtly threatened government ministers and the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau warning them of the day they would be on their knees in front of him.

The PPP chairman brought back nostalgic memories to the nation of the days when he was levelling threats and issuing controversial statements on a near daily basis.

The former President seemed quite deadly when questioning the ‘majal’ of the chairman of the NAB to bring up cases against him. While it is rather confusing since the current was appointed with the consensus of both the PPP and the PML-N. Even more than that, it brings up the question of who exactly has the majla to be accounting politicians if not the accountability bureau?

Perhaps the President is just getting in mood for Game of Thrones season as he promises to bring his enemies to their knees and taste the sweetness of revenge, but the tone he has used and the shameless arrogance bring to surface exactly how seriously him and his party take the necessity of accountability.

Rather than agreeing to being investigated, as Sharjeel Memon has done despite his protests to the matter, the Zardari chose to act as if he were somehow above even being questioned. And that is indeed the Zaradiest thing possible.
