Traffic Police organises walk in honour of late Traffic DIG, Mobeen Ahmad

LAHORE: The city Traffic Police organised a walk the other day to raise awareness in general public about the use of helmets.

The walk started from the Gulzar Underpass and ended at the Muslim Town Underpass. A large number of students, members of civil society and traffic wardens participated in the walk.

The walk was led by Chief Traffic Police Officer Rai Ijaz Ahmad and is part of an ongoing campaign of the city Police to honour the martyred Traffic DIG, Mobeen Ahmad.

Speaking on the occasion the CTO said, “Steps taken by martyred Traffic DIG Mobeen Ahmad brought visible improvements to the system in the city. Results were prominent through the flow of traffic.” “We are carrying his mission forward,” the CTO remarked.

“Traffic Police is focusing on maintaining the flow of traffic and educating the masses about laws. We have delivered lectures to 30,000 students in the last two months at different institutes, distributed thousands of pamphlets, posted banners and posters and held awareness camps throughout the city.” He further said.
