President, PM address nation at Pakistan Day parade

ISLAMABAD: In spirit of the 77th Pakistan Day, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged the nation to uphold the principles that inspired the Muslims of subcontinent to forge unity and create a separate country.

While addressing the ceremony at Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad, the president said it is indeed a matter of satisfaction that the nation is striving to address various challenges under a democratic dispensation.

He asserted that Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India and resolve the Kashmir issue.

He also paid tribute to those sacrificing their lives for the stability of the country.

Mamnoon Hussain also said that Pakistan will continue its fight against terrorism and operation Radd-ul Fassad will continue till the elimination of the terrorists.

Seperately, the PM in his message said that 23rd March is an unforgettable day of our national history.

“This day reminds us that with steely determination and unity under an honest leadership, the ostensibly unachievable targets can be easily achieved,” said the PM.

“During the last three years the Army, security agencies and people have rendered sacrifices to make Pakistan a cradle of peace,” he added.

“The government has maintained its focus on accelerating economic prosperity and progress,” PM Nawaz said.
