KARACHI: Indus River System Authority has said that more water is given to Sindh than its allotted quota.
IRSA spokesperson Khalid Rana said that rumours of 50 percent water shortage during Kharif season are premature predictions. Rana further apprised that Tarbela and Mangla dams have met dead level incessantly during 2000-2013.
Responding to a question on a statement of Sindh CM, Rana said no meeting of IRSA advisory committee was held. He also said that dams should be made as soon as possible in order to avoid drought.
