LAHORE: Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has decided to accept the charge sheet handed over to him by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

He is also expected to write a statement to the PCB in a day or two, according to details.

The fast bowler earlier admitted in front of PCB anti-corruption unit (ACU) that he was telephoned by the bookies five times, but was very strict in his correspondences with them.

After the acceptance of the charge sheet, Irfan’s case will go to the disciplinary committee which will then decide the future of left-arm fast bowler in the lights of anti-corruption code.

Furthermore, the spot-fixing case is being investigated by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) as well, and the decision will also depend on its inquiry. Mobile phones of all players allegedly involved in spot-fixing including Mohammad Irfan are in possession of FIA for inquiry.
