ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Leader and former Minister Sharjeel Memon, who is facing corruption charges of five billion and 77 crore rupees, appeared in Islamabad High Court on Monday.

Memon has reportedly gone to court for approval of his transit bail and has announced to face all the corruption cases that have been filed against him.

Sharjeel Memon was detained on Saturday night immediately after his plane coming from Dubai landed at the Islamabad airport.

He was accompanied by four Sindh ministers Mukesh Chawla, Imdad Pitafi, Fiaz Bhatt and Taimoor Talpoor who strongly condemned the arrest.

Sharjeel Memon was released on Sunday from the custody of NAB after interrogation.

Afterwards, the PPP leader addressed a press conference in the federal capital in which he mentioned that he wonders why NAB doesn’t put any PML-N leaders on the ECL. And why such harsh behaviour is adopted only with PPP.
