PCG seizes 79 Kgs charas, arrests two accused

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) has arrested two alleged smugglers, seized 79 kilogrammes of charas and one vehicle in separate operations.

The PCG recovered 65 kilogrammes of charas and arrested an accused from a house at Pathan Colony near Thatta, said a statement released on Monday.

The PCG also seized six kilogrammes of charas, 456 bottles of liquor from a car at Gharo – Thatta while taking advantage of the dark the accused fled the scene.

In another action, eight kilogrammes of charas was confiscated from a bag of a commuter who was travelling in a passenger Mazda from Hub Chowki to Quaid Abad.

PCG Director General Brig Atiq-ur-Rehman has appreciated efforts of PCG personnel against drug peddlers and announced to give them cash prizes.
