FIA interrogates Mohammad Irfan, Khalid Latif in fixing scandal

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday started investigating the spot-fixing scandal that emerged during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

FIA interrogated Khalid Latif and Mohammad Irfan over fixing scandal in FIA Lahore office. Both players recorded their statements in front of the investigation agency. Khalid Latif and Mohammad Irfan were asked questions regarding spot-fixing and contacts with bookies.

The other two suspended players, Sharjeel khan and Shahzaib Hasan, have been summoned tomorrow by FIA to record their statements.

The cellular phones and other data of these players have also been handed over to FIA who will investigate the mobile data and applications.

FIA has already written a letter to the interior ministry to put the names of all five suspended cricketers on exit control list (ECL).
