The Badin Red Crescent Office on Saturday was sealed by the district administration in absence of any PRC representatives.

Earlier, The Indus Hospital management requested Sindh CM Murad Ali to handover the building of the Red Crescent to them as the office had no use.

The Indus Hospital asked for the building to construct stray dog and snake bite treatment facility there.

The Badin deputy commissioner had issued a prior notice to the adminstration to vacate the building or shift the office somewhere else.

Talking to media, RPC Chairman Abdul Sattar Memon confirmed that the letter was issued and said, “We have referred this matter to the provincial office for further action as the governor is chairman of the PRC”.

“Negotiations are in progress with the both provincial authorities”, he added.

He also accused the management of Indus Hospital for interfering in the matter.

He said the office has been in the same building from 1979 and its foundation stone was laid down by former Sindh Governor Justice Fakhar-ul-din Ibrahim.

The two- acre land was a property of the organisation as it was donated and inaugurated by former Badin DC Abdul Ghafar Soomro, he added.

Indus Hospital Assistant Manager Badur-Din Channa told the media that it was purely a decision of the district administration and the hospital administration got nothing to do with it.

The Badin DC has issued letter twice to the PRC authorities to shift their office but they failed to comply, he concluded.
