KARACHI: Limited-overs skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has said that the team will miss Sharjeel Khan’s presence but was sure that new players would fill his space.
Talking to media, Sarfraz said that Sharjeel’s playing tactic was crucial for the team but now that he could no longer be a part, they could look for substitutes as well.
“He isn’t with us anymore so of course it will affect us but I have full faith in the newcomers and they will translate their domestic form at international level,” said the Pakistan skipper.
He further said that winning from West Indies to qualify directly for upcoming World Cup is a big challenge. He also advised Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir to perform better.
Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Shahzaib Hasan, Irfan were suspended for allegedly meeting the bookie soon after the inaugural PSL match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in Dubai.
