The PCB Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) on Friday provisionally suspended Karachi Kings’ opener Shahzaib Hasan in the spot-fixing case.

A formal charge sheet was handed over to Shahzeb Hasan. According to the charge sheet, Shahzeb Hasan has been asked to reply within 14 days.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Thursday issued notices to four cricketers for spot-fixing in the Pakistan Super League.

The notices were issued to Sharjeel Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif and Muhammad Irfan. The players have been asked to appear before the agency to record their statements on March 20 and 21.

The investigation into the spot-fixing scandal is being carried out by the agency on the request of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Shahzaib Hasan was not immediately suspended from PSL 2017 because he had informed ACU about the offer that was given to him by the bookie just before the match.

Apart from him, Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Irfan have already been conditionally suspended from all formats of the game due to alleged spot-fixing in second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
