Islamabad Police along with Pak Rangers conducted search operation in different areas of capital on Wednesday.
According to details, Police along with contingents of Pak Rangers conducted search operation in various areas of Police Station Shahzad Town Including Farash Town, Neelum Colony and other areas. During search operation, 15 suspects were held and 120 houses were screened.
As many as 200 people were searched during the operation, the spokesman added.
The operation was supervised by SP Rural Dr Syed Mustafa Tanvir accompanying DSP, SHO PS Shahzad Town Hakim Khan and others.
During this grand search operation, heavy cache of weapons was also recovered.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of this search operation was to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort would be made to ensure protection of the lives and property of citizens.
He also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
