Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani Sunday praised professionalism of KP police saying it was very receptive force and fully capable to meet challenges in an effective manner.
He was addressing the last Police Darbar of his 35 years professional career here in Malak Saad Shaheed Police Lines. The darbar was attended by officers and jawans of police force.
IGP said that police jawans and officers were fully capable to do the duties in the province that were regarded as the most dangerous, difficult and full of challenges. He also narrated the achievements of operation Zarb-e-Azb, Raddul Fassad and search and strike operations of the police in detail.
He further added that 1192 hard core terrorists were arrested by CTD in the last two years and their cases were in relevant courts adding many were awarded 28 and 15 years rigorous imprisonment.
KP police chief also lauded the professionalism exhibited by the force in thwarting the deadly terrorist attack in Tangi, Charsadda and Mondan Bannu Police Station.
IGP disclosed that decision of upgrading different ranks of the force jawans and increasing incentives of police shuhadda package would be announced very soon.
He also paid rich tributes to Peshawar media for its role and expressed hope that their positive help would continue with the police in war against terror in future too.
On the occasion, IGP inaugurated newly established Data Analysis Section (DAS) at Police Lines. He also awarded Peshawar police officers and jawans who exhibited excellent performance against terrorists, kidnappers, extortionists and other criminals. Earlier, IGP laid a wreath at the Police Shuhadda Yadgar.
