FGEHF to issue allotment letters after completion of Bhara Kahu scheme land procurement

The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) will issue provisional allotment letters to members registered under Membership Drive-I of Bhara Kahu Housing Scheme, Green Enclave-II, after completion of the process for land procurement.

According to Ministry of Housing and Works sources, procurement of land for Green Enclave-II was underway. Some 17,190 allottees of Green Enclave-II scheme, they said, had deposited Rs 6,847,200,000 on January 31, 2017 on account of down payment for purchase of land. The allottees of category-I plots had deposited down payment of Rs 1,000,000 each, category-II Rs 600,000, category-III Rs 500.000, category-IV Rs 350,000 and category-V Rs 250.000.

The sources said the foundation in 2016 made a Joint Venture (JV) agreement to develop JV Housing Scheme on 7,000 to 10,000 kanal land near Thallian Interchange. The land was being procured under the JV policy approved by the Federal Cabinet, they added.

They said only consent letters have been issued, in housing scheme in sectors F-14/15 to the eligible members of constitutional bodies.

They said the quota reserved for the employees of constitutional bodies had not been reduced. In fact, it had been enhanced from 2pc to 3pc for future schemes by the executive committee of the Housing Foundation in its 133rd meeting held on June 17, 2015, they added.
