Lahore: Former Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the doors of politics must be closed for corrupt people.
Addressing the delegations of party workers here on Sunday, he said corruption is a crime which can’t be forgiven on any cost. He said history will not forgive the corrupt people and they will be held accountable for their corruption.
Sarwar said we are not against democracy, the parliament and the constitution but against corrupt people. The former governor said that it seems that the rulers are ruining the state institutions without any checks and balances.
He said these institutions have become a burden on the people, all state policies have failed and country has entangled in piles of debt.
“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has always tried to take onboard all the political parties on corruption because eradication of corruption is essential to solving problems of poverty, unemployment and terrorism”, he added.
