Holi festival to be celebrated tomorrow

SUKKUR: The Hindu community across the northern Sindh will celebrate the Holi festival with its traditional enthusiasm on Sunday.

Holi-a popular Hindu spring festival – also termed as the festival of colours is celebrated in Sindh at the end of the winter season on the last full moon of the lunar month.

Revellers spray coloured powder and water on each other, dance, and distribute sweets during the celebrations.

Earlier on Saturday, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah felicitated Hindu community of Pakistan on the eve of Holi.

“May the celebrations today also usher in peace, prosperity and joy not only in the lives of Hindus but in the lives of all people,” he said.
