India releases two Pakistani boys

NEW DELHI: Two detained Pakistani youths, Faisal Hassan and Ahsan Khurshid were handed over to Pakistan on Friday after Indian investigators cleared Pakistan on Wednesday of involvement in Uri attack.

Reportedly, the two youths have been handed over to Pakistani authorities and will cross the border into Pakistan at Wagah Border.

Pakistani High Commissioner, Abdul Basit held several meetings with Indian secretary of foreign affairs for the release of the two detainees over allegations of involvement in terror attack on Indian military’s brigade headquarters in Baramulla District of Occupied Kashmir valley on September 19, 2016.

The two class-10 students had unintentionally crossed the Line of Control following which they were held by Indian troops and accused of attack in Uri Town of Indian Held-Kashmir.

The announcement of their return has come a day after a report of National Investigation Agency of India cleared both of them of the allegations by stating that no evidence was found against the students.
