UNDER the CPEC, Dadu was marked a part of a highway which is to be constructed from Multan to Karachi. However, there is recent change in the plan and a decision is made to replace with Benazirabad. The government officials supervising the CPEC must realise the geographical significance of the region and should not ignore Dadu under CPEC. If the route is constructed as per the original plan, there will be an increase in trade as it connects many cities and districts.  Also, it will provide access to the national and international markets and will increase the trade of agricultural products since Dadu is rich in agricultural land. Therefore, the incumbent government is requested to reconsider its decision because Dadu populace is hoping to observe developmental and infrastructural changes under the CPEC which will benefit them in the longer run.
