The Gulberg police station has issued notices to shops within their jurisdiction after conducting a survey and finding their security precautions wanting under the Security of Vulnerable Establishments Act 2015.
The shops were notified of the shortcomings, which included a lack of metal detectors/walkthrough gates, control rooms, rooftop security posts, and the fact that their security guards were untrained. The police station gave the shops three days to upgrade their security, promising legal action against them in case of non-compliance.
