ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria on Monday said that Pakistan strongly condemned the cross-border terrorist attack on security check posts in Mohmand Agency.
In a statement, Nafees Zakaria said, “Our valiant soldiers sacrificed their lives for the security of the country and their people.”
Terrorists from across the border in Afghanistan had attacked three check posts in Mohmand Agency Sunday night.
According to reports, Pakistani forces gave a befitting response to the attack and killed over 10 terrorists in the exchange of fire.
Five security forces personnel also died in the exchange of fire.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated Pakistan Army’s befitting response to the terrorist attack.
He said, “The terrorists are a common enemy and coordinated efforts are required to check free movement of terrorists on the border.”
