45 booked for attacking police party

MULTAN: The police have registered a case against 45 outlaws for torturing a police party and helping a proclaimed offender to escape from police custody on Saturday.

According to police sources, a police party of Sadar police station conducted a raid at Bunda Mulana and arrested a proclaimed offender, Ajmal, who was wanted in different cases to police.

On which, 45 armed outlaws including Ramzan, Asif, Akram, Shafi, Imran, Bilal, Shehzad, Talib, Aslam, Ranjha, Hashim, Sultan, Rustam, Malku, Zahoor, Khadim, Yasim, Naziran and others attacked the police party.

In the meantime, one accused Talib alias Kala opened fire at ASI Mushtaq and injured him.

The outlaws also snatched official rifle SMG, mobile phones and cash from the police party and escaped along with the proclaimed offender.

Police registered a case against the accused party.

Raids were being conducted to arrest the criminals, however, the injured ASI was under treatment, police sources added.
