Govt not serious about national issues, including military courts: Bokhari

Former Senate chairman Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has said that the federal government is not serious about national issues, including setting up of military courts.

Talking to a private TV channel, Bokhari said seven meetings of parliamentary leaders were held, but the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif failed to attend even a single sitting.

He said, “When Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) announced to hold All Parities Conference (APC) over military courts issue, the federal government quickly called all the political parties and developed consensus over setting up military courts.”

Bokhari further added that when the federal government is not willing to show seriousness regarding the important national issues, then how it can be invited to participate in the APC.
