KARACHI: Two members of banned terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan (TTP) were arrested in Karachi on Tuesday, claimed police authorities.
According to reports in a raid near SITE’s Malakand graveyard, police arrested two suspects affiliated with TTP’s Yasir Swati group, police said that the suspects were involved in terrorism, extortion and target killing.
Two hand grenades and a pistol were recovered from them.
Furthermore, in a crackdown against illegal immigrants, at least 183 Afghan residents were apprehended by the authorities.
At least twenty suspects were detained by the law enforcement authorities in raids conducted at different areas of the city.
