Earthquake jolts KP, FATA, Islamabad

 

A 6-magnitude earthquake jolted northern areas of the country Tuesday evening.

According to the Met Office, the epicentre of the quake was near the Afghan-Tajik border with a focal depth of 10 kilometres.

Strong jolts were felt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Dir, Swat, Azad Kashmir, forcing people to run out of their houses.

Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the quake.
