RAWALPINDI: According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), combined check posts of Pakistan Army, Punjab Rangers and police have been set up on motorway M1 and M2 in the context of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
ISPR has said that these checkpoints are made to increase security monitoring.
According to details, more than 235 suspects have been arrested so far from different cities in the operation which is going on with full strength.
Furthermore, 15 suspects have been detained by security forces from Rawalpindi in a combing operation and more than 215 were arrested from Lahore, Kasur, Pindi Bhattian, Vehari, Kundian, Dera Ghazi Khan and Layyah.
Additionally, 35 people were arrested from Charsadda including seven Afghans. Four Kalashnikovs, two kalakovs and pistols were also recovered from the suspects.
Police searched 46 homes in Hangu and 45 suspects were detained from there as well. Police and intelligence agencies arrested 25 people from Khanewal and three from Chenab Nagar
Rangers and police besieged Sukkur railway station on a tip-off and searched Quetta Express to find suspicious Afghans.
Weapons and ammunitions in large quantity were recovered from North Waziristan and Datta Khel.
