PESHAWAR: Inspector General Khyber Pakthunwa Police Nasir Durrani is set to retire from his position as IG on March 16 according to sources.
The KP government is already looking towards taking up the IG in a private capacity due to his reputation as a highly professional officer and the infamy he has gained for his popular police reforms.
Meanwhile the government is already deliberating as to who will succeed Durrani and the names being floated at the moment are Akhtar Ali Shah, Kaleem Imam and Syed Salahuddin.
