SUKKUR: A meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming census was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Shikarpur on Saturday.
The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza as well as Major Umair, who came along with his team from Pano-Aqil Cantonment.
Speaking on the occasion, Major Umair said that approximately 1,000 Army personnel would perform duties at circle, block and charge level while one MCO and GCO would be appointed at each circle, whereas the residence of the Army personnel would be arranged near the circle block to keep an eye over every movement.
The Shikarpur DC said that all the arrangements in this regard would be finalised before 15 April while a meeting with the officers of Army, Police, Education Department, and Bureau of Statics would be arranged to formulate the future course of action for census.
The census process would start on 15, April 2017.
