Prime Minister’s Advisor Amir Muqam, while talking to party workers in Jeddah on Saturday, has stated that anti-state elements, both in and outside the country were busy conspiring against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He, however, stated that with policies of the federal government and sacrifices by the armed forces, peace has returned and the country was on its way towards development.

He informed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan wanted to become prime minister of Pakistan but has completely forgotten to bring change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as the PTI-led provincial government has completely failed to deliver.

Muqam stated that despite making tall claims that PTI government will not take loans, the province received a loan of Rs 39 billion from Asian Development Bank, Rs 70 billion from World Bank as well as Rs 8.5-billion Gratuity & Provident Fund (GP Fund), adding that the ones who would call Metro Bus as jangla bus were now launching the same project in KP and taking loan from Asian Development Bank to complete Metro Bus project.

He also criticised the KP government for its double standard and added that those who have been making claims of attracting foreign investment in the province could not bring a single foreign investment in the province in spite spending millions on arranging seminars to attract investors.

He also stated that the ones who raised slogans for a Naya (New) Pakistan had sent KP back into the 60s; at the same time, he criticised Jamat-e-Islami Amir Sirajul Haq for failing to fulfill the promises of Ehtisab in the province.
