TEVTA to arrange exhibition on pottery products

 

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will arrange one day exhibition of its pottery products during next month for the awareness of general public.

The exhibition would be held in collaboration with Lahore College for Women University, a press release said here on Thursday. TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and LCWU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar decided to arrange the exhibition during their meeting in the inauguration of display corner of TEVTA ceramic products at Lahore College for Women University.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that the display of TEVTA ceramic products at LCWU would promote the sector. The opening of the said corner was the continuity of the efforts of TEVTA & University for promoting sector for which both organizations had already signed a MoU in August, 2016. Through the said venture, TEVTA will have a great opportunity to introduce the skills of its students and master craftsmen at a public forum.

He said that TEVTA products were crafted by its students under the supervision of master craftsmen at the institute.

He said that we were working passionately to adopt innovative designs in the said area with the assistance of LCWU Lahore. TEVTA was also looking forward for establishing linkage with renowned outlets on the same pattern in the near future. He appraised that TEVTA was upgrading its ceramics institute as per modern industrial requirement.

It would be a great source of facilitation to the concerned industry, he said adding people from different walks of life, including representatives of industry attended the inauguration ceremony and appreciated the efforts of TEVTA and LCWU for promoting the ceramic sector.

TEVTA Ceramic Board Members Nabila Intisar, Zafar Mehmood, TEVTA officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Mian Amjad Shujja, Sarfraz Anwar, Faculty Members of LCWU Dr Riffat Dar, Mrs. Saeed Khalid and other officers of both organizations were also present on the occasion.
