PIERA has a new chief

ISLAMABAD: Hasnat Qureshi has replaced Mussadaq Malik Khan as the new chief of the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA).

The decision was taken to promptly address the various issues that are being faced by the private sector education institutions of Islamabad.

The Minister of State for the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry took this decision mainly due to a recent issue being faced by approximately 30,000 students of private educational institutions who were about to be considered as private candidates for their exams- since their respective educational institutions were not registered.
