National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training has unanimously approved “the Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Bill, 2017”, Radio Pakistan has reported.
The meeting of the committee was held in Islamabad on Wednesday with MNA Dr Amirullah Marwat in the chair.
According to the bill, Nazra Quran will be taught from class one to five, while from grade 6 to grade 12 students will be taught the holy book with translation.
