Police have decided to conduct a fresh survey in all jurisdictions of its police stations with the purpose to get first-hand information about the tenants residing in various areas and also to know about their background.

The decision to this effect has been made by SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani in pursuance of National Action Plan and all the zonal SPs have been directed to start this exercise immediately.

He said that complete information should be maintained about the history of people permanently or temporarily residing there.

Following these directions, SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh has finalised a performa for collecting first- hand information about tenants in the areas of Secretariat, Bhara Kau, Aabpara and Kohsar police stations. All relevant information about tenants including their names, father names, house number, street number, sector, CNIC number, mobile number, members of family persons, reason to stay in Islamabad, name of landlord and his complete address would be maintained in it.

Police have also appealed all landlords to cooperate and submit the required details about their tenants and domestic servants. Strict action may be initiated in case of non-compliance by the landlords or reluctance to submit required information about tenants.

SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani has said that purpose of this exercise is to keep high vigilance against criminal elements and make Islamabad more safe.
