Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif expressed his of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of PML-N’s Member of Provincial Assembly Malik Zahoor Anwar.
In a condolence message, the chief minister expressed his condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed, as well as for the bereaved family to bear their loss with fortitude. He said that the late Malik Zahoor Anwar was a popular figure in his constituency and that his social services would always be remembered
Anwar was elected as an MPA from PP-23 Chakwal-IV on the the ticket of the ruling PML-N, but was diagnosed with cancer soon after. He then went to the US for treatment, where he remained for two years, but the cancer advanced to its final stage.
He was being treatment in Lahore when he breathed his last. Anwar was buried on Wednesday evening and his funeral was attended by hundreds of people.
