Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers and other security agencies on Wednesday conducted a search operation in various areas of Bani Gala police station and arrested three suspects, a police spokesman said.
According to the police spokesman, officials of Islamabad Police, Rangers and other security agencies conducted a search operation in Bani Gala, including Pind Begwal and its adjacent areas.
During search operation under supervision of SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, DSP Bhara Kau Circle Arif Hussain Shah, SHO Rukhsar Mehdi also took part in it.
More than 100 houses were screened and three suspects were held besides recovery of weapons and ammunition from them. The nabbed persons had been shifted to police station for further investigation.
SSP Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of this search operation was to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to protect the lives and property of citizens. He has also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
