Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan Tuesday said several leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were ready to join his party, citing background contacts.

Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court, the PTI chief questioned how the country could progress when the finance minister had been laundering money for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He also deplored that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) did not assist the court.

“It is now proved that the FBR chief is also corrupt,” Khan said, adding the NAB was coming up with excuses to protect the prime minister corruption.

Khan also gave the Charsadda police a pat on the back for effective damage control, referring to the terror bid where two terrorists were neutralised after the third one detonated his suicide vest.
