Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday visited troops in Munaawar sector on the Line of Control (LOC).

The army chief, who was given a briefing by the general officer commanding (GOC) about the operational situation, appreciated the operational readiness of the troops, and directed that unprovoked ceasefire violations by India be responded effectively.

General Bajwa said that Pakistan army soldiers were known for their professional competence, motivation and selfless devotion for defence of the motherland and were the back-bone of the country’s army.

The COAS said that Indian ceasefire violations had a design.

“On one hand it is an effort to divert world’s attention from her atrocities against innocent Kashmiris, while on the other hand; it is an attempt to dilute our response against terrorism and militancy,” added the army chief.

“The targeting of civilians along LOC is deliberate and highly reprehensible. We are fully aware of Indian designs and her support to terrorism in Pakistan and the region. Indian spy Kulbhushan Jhadav is one such evidence of these efforts and his case will be taken to the logical conclusion.”

The COAS said that the army would do its duty to protect people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir against all forms of Indian aggression. “We will continue our solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Kashmir who are struggling for their right of self-determination,” he added.

Earlier upon his arrival, the army chief was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lt Gen Nadeem Raza.

  1. Are sure about that then why Nawaz Sharif has kept his mouth shut and to say a word about India.
Nawaz Sharif has business with india and Indians are working in his factories in Pakistan what a fantastic Primer Minster chosen by Pakistanis, he is more loyal to india then Pakistan.

  2. Pakistanis call Hafees Saeed – an internationally recognized terrorist, as a patriotic hero of Pakistan, and then they blame India for their own terrorist misadventures.

Now they have found one scapegoat called Kulbushan Jadhav, who they have with them but wont do anything to him.
If he really was an Indian spy and has created terror in Pakistan, he would have long been executed in proper Pakistani military style.
Even within Pakistan, everyone does not belive this story created by their own army.

It is time India began supporting and funding insurgency within Pakistan on a large scale. Pakistan needs to be more busy with its own internal problems, rather than try to be a false hero for the people of Kashmir.
