Charsadda suicide bombers were Uzbek nationals: police

PESHAWAR: Charssadda District Police Officer Sohail Khalid has said that all three bombers who attacked a lower court in Tangi tehsil of Charsadda district were Uzbek nationals.

In a brief chat with reporters here, the senior policeman said that investigation into the suicide bombing on the lower judiciary had been started on scientific lines and a considerable progress had been made.

He said four suspects had been arrested by the district police after the bombing on the lower court.

The suspects have been taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

The DPO said that three 9 mm pistols and five unexploded hand grenades had also been recovered from their possession. He maintained that the bombers had detonated five hand grenades during the attack.

Regional Police Officer, Ejaz Khan said that the bombers used 8-10 Kg of explosives during the assault on courts.
