Shehbaz reviews Saaf Paani Programme

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting which reviewed feasibility studies, models and other matters regarding the Saaf Pani Programme.

Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that the provision of clean drinking water was a top priority of the government and that this public welfare programme was directly related to human health.

He said that a lot of time had already been wasted with regard to the implementation of the programme, but that it would move forward speedily now. He directed that a final plan should be presented for launching the Saaf Pani Programme in 37 tehsils within one week and added that water testing and survey work should be completed on as soon as possible.

The chairman the Saaf Pani Company North, MNA Tahir Iqbal, the chief secretary, additional chief secretary, housing secretary, and concerned officials and experts were also present on the occasion.
