Punjab Higher for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani has said that all arrangements have been finalised for the secondary school annual examination which will commence from March 1.

Allegedly, the exams will be held according to schedule in a transparent and organised manner. Foolproof security arrangements will be made around examination centres so that the students could appear for the exams with peace of mind.

He said this while presiding over a meeting at the Lahore board on Saturday. The chairmen of nine educational boards and the representatives of the higher education department attended the meeting. The meeting held a detailed review of the arrangements made for the matriculation exams. The chairmen informed the minister about the arrangements made by their respective boards.

The meeting was informed that a composite security plan had been devised for the exams. In order to maintain full security, the exams will be held under the supervision of the police department and police mobile vans will also make rounds of the exam centres. The meeting noted with satisfaction that invigilating staff had been assigned duties and had also been given necessary training for the same.

The meeting was further informed that district level control rooms would be set up to monitor the exam situation as well as to maintain the security of students and invigilating staff. Similarly, mobile checking teams of educational boards would conduct surprise checking to ensure transparency and smooth conduction of exams.

Meanwhile, the exams would also be monitored by the offices of the ministry, the higher education department, the board chairmen, and the controllers of examinations.

The minister directed that the chairmen and other staff to remain fully vigilant and attentive so that the students would not have to face any difficulties.
